Vaughan, ON (April 29, 2009) – Canada’s Wonderland, home of the most exhilarating collection of rides, roller coasters and water park fun in all of Canada, prepares to open its gates for its 29th season Sunday, May 3, 2009. The Park features 66 exciting rides and 15 thrilling roller coasters, including Behemoth® - Canada’s biggest, fastest and tallest coaster.
 
Canada’s Wonderland offers the best entertainment value around with 2 parks in 1. The Park not only offers over 200 attractions including North America’s greatest variety of roller coasters, three fun-filled children areasand exciting new live entertainment, but there’s also a 20-acre water park which is open throughout the summer months. Splash Works is sure to be splash headquarters this summer with White Water Bay - Canada’s largest outdoor wave pool, a ¼ mile Lazy River, water slides aplenty, and an exciting children’s splash area. 
 
Wonderland heats up summer with Motown classics and a boy genius’ madcap inventions in two exciting new shows. Signed, Sealed, Delivered, located in International Showplace, relives the magic of the 50’s and 60’s through song and dance. From streetlamp to spotlight, this show features all of the songs that you forgot you loved and will have you tapping your toes to the beat. Join us at Putz Headquarters for Marty’s Party, where the wacky inventions of whiz kid Marty and the outrageous outfits of Fiona the fashion queen take over Kidzville Playhouse Theatre. The unexpected will happen in this hilarious show for kids of all ages. 
 
Don’t forget, families can take pictures and get hugs from their favourite Nickelodeon characters in Nickelodeon CentralDora the Explorer, Boots, Diego, Little Bill, Blue’s Clues, SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick, Chuckie, Jimmy Neutron, Eliza, and Hanna-Barbera favourite Scooby-Doo will appear all season long from 9:30am until 6:00pm daily.
